An excellent opportunity has become available within the Gastroenterology &Endoscopy Department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to work as an apprentice within the team. Working as part of a dedicated team of professions, you will gain experience in administrative duties including general clerical duties that support the administrative elements of the entire service. The ideal applicant would: • Be well organized. • Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines. • Be IT literate. • Be keen to learn. • Be professional and polite. • Be able to follow policies and procedures accurately and maintain consistency. • Have excellent verbal communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone. • Work well as a team. • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Have the ability to organize and prioritise workload without direct supervision. Administrative Assistant Apprentice you will: • To greet patients and visitors courteously and direct them to the appropriate area. • To deal promptly with telephone enquiries from, visitors and staff. • To ensure unit security where possible. • To liaise with other departments. • To ensure the admin area is kept clean and tidy at all times • Call patients and book appointments, including reminder calls.
