Assistant or Associate Director of Workforce Commencing Salary Band 8c for Assistant / VSM for Associate Hours Per Week: 37.5 Hours/Week Job Type Permanent Closing Date 24th September 2017 Interview Date w/c 9th October 2017 James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust JPUH is an amazing place to work. We are very proud of our hospital and its people, and are continually seeking improvements to ensure that patients and staff have the most positive experience possible when they are here. We also pride ourselves on our staff being the people to deliver that. At a time when the NHS is under significant financial and operational pressure, we have much to be proud of, including receiving an overall rating of “Good” following our most recent hospital CQC inspection. Attention was drawn to the caring and compassionate work of our staff as well as being commended for several areas of outstanding practice. Remarkable people work at our hospital and as part of the Norfolk and Waveney STP, we are working closely with Healthcare partners to improve care pathways for our patients. Due to retirement we are now seeking a dynamic and forward thinking HR professional to provide the Trust with professional leadership as our in-house expert to lead our Workforce Directorate at either Assistant or Associate Director Level, depending on the successful applicant’s experience. As Associate Director of Workforce you would join our successful and ambitious Executive Team and become part of our board of Directors. As Assistant Director you would be our lead HR professional for the Trust and work closely with the Executive Director of Governance and Workforce. At either level, should you wish to progress your career, we aim to support you with the development you want towards the next level as either a future Associate or Executive Director. The Hospital is situated in a mainly rural area in one of the most open, picturesque, safe and unspoilt parts of the country, offering a range of affordable properties, good schools, easy access to the coast and an abundance of outdoor, sporting and recreational activities. The post will appeal to candidates who seek a high quality of life combined with a position in a progressive and well-run hospital distinguished by its supportive and friendly culture. The organisation needs an individual that will match its ambitions with personal and professional stature, strong vision and an ability to drive change. If you are looking for a fresh challenge at a progressive hospital in a delightful part of the country and want to become one of our remarkable people we would like to hear from you. For an informal discussion please contact Anna Hills, Executive Director of Governance and Workforce on 01493 453684 or Dawn Cumby, Associate Director of Workforce on 01493 452802.
