    • Band 8a Finance Manager NWLP North West London Pathology “NWLP” is an NHS joint venture formed by Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust incorporating West Middlesex University Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – who have come together to modernise pathology services across north west London. The joint venture went live in April 2017 and is hosted by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust “Imperial”. NWLP operates as an arm’s length organisation on behalf of the ‘owner trusts’, with Imperial as the legal entity employing staff and contracting on behalf of the joint venture. NWLP will consolidate pathology provision across the three organisations through a ‘hub and spoke’ model, with the majority of routine, specialist, non-urgent activity delivered at a central hub at Charing Cross Hospital while pathology required urgently for immediate treatment delivered by 24/7 laboratories forming ‘spokes’ within the individual Trusts. This will enable best practice as described by Lord Carter in his review of pathology services. An exciting opportunity for an energetic, innovative and committed individual has arisen within the Finance function of NWLP. We are looking for a Finance Manager to act as a business partner working alongside the Finance Director to support the Executive Board and the Operations Management teams. This role works alongside the Imperial Business Partnering team and liaises with the wider Imperial finance team and will focus on developing and supporting the following areas: • Working with the Operational Managers to continually improve financial performance • Monthly Board and Operations financial reporting and forecasting • Assisting the Executive Directors and Divisional Managers on various projects such as annual budgeting, long term financial planning, business cases, tenders and contract review • Developing operational performance information, including standard test costs • Cost Improvement Programme development and monitoring • Building relations with non Finance stakeholders • Business intelligence This opportunity provides a unique platform for motivated, ambitious and hardworking individuals to build their experience across a wide range of areas in a rapidly changing and commercially focused organisation within the NHS. This is a finance focused role, so we are looking for an experienced accountant who is an effective communicator and has sound management accounting experience, preferably within a large organisation. The candidate will have an eager interest in healthcare and be keen to buy into the NHS ethos. Candidates with project and system experience are encouraged to apply, as well as those from a practice background. This is an important role in a new organisation that sits within one of the most complex NHS Trusts in the country offering an exceptional opportunity to work with a leading finance team who are well recognised in the sector.
