Job Description Clinical Education Lead Spire St Anthonys Equivalent Band 7 dependent on experience Share your passion for education in this thrilling role. Boasting more than 50 hospitals and clinics equipped with the most modern equipment and cutting-edge technology, the Spire Healthcare model is something to be admired. Committed to becoming the number one healthcare provider in the UK, we invest heavily in recruiting the best staff and keeping their skills first-rate with ongoing training and development opportunities. It’s these opportunities that have given rise to the exciting role of Clinical Education Lead in Spire St Anthony’s Hospital – a role that has the potential to transform the skills of a large team. With more than 50 staff in the department, this is a particularly busy unit – and with a team this sizeable, comes a huge scope for variety in your day-to-day interactions. Our skilled staff carry out a great deal of orthopaedic surgery and joint replacements, and their specific knowledge of urology and cardiac work means our six state-of-the-art theatres are always bustling – particularly as neurology and peadiatric services are also in development. As such, you will be privy to an environment in which staff already have extensive knowledge, but our commitment to put the patients first means that this knowledge will always need to be updated and refreshed. You will therefore assess clinical competence and identify any learning needs amongst the team and deliver relevant teaching and education programmes. In order to really thrive in this role, you will have extensive scrub experience as a registered Senior Nurse or Team Lead at band 7, coupled with advanced clinical and educational training. Confident mentoring and developing staff, you will be a persuasive communicator, with the ability to work with staff at every level. With at least five years of theatre experience under your belt, it would be an added bonus (though not absolutely essential) if you also had a mentorship certificate or qualification. What is more crucial is that you have experience of evidence-based learning and your knowledge of all areas relating to theatre and scrub is outstanding. This is a fantastic role, and one in which you can make an active difference to the wellbeing of patients and the skill sets of your colleagues, while enhancing your own career capabilities. So if you’re excited by the thought of inspiring a team with educational opportunities, we need to talk.
