Lucy Stendall is recruiting for a Clinical Research Scientist to join a world leading global pharmaceutical company at their site based in either Stevenage or Uxbridge on a 12 month contract, covering maternity leave. The position is within the Clinical Pharmacology Science and Study Operations group and will initially be for a year to cover maternity leave. The role will include studies and projects from across the group, including immunology & inflammation as well as more traditional phase I studies when required. The main purpose of the role will be to. - Study set up of clinical protocol and study procedures; manual authoring, drug supplies, ethics & regulatory submissions and oversight. - Plan and execute investigator meetings and site initiations as necessary. - Maintain clinical tracking systems including the oversight of study level contracts with third party suppliers. - Managing study budgets, developing and communicating study timelines. - Develop and maintain relationships with the clinical monitor in local operating companies and CRO's. - Ensure all relevant studies follow standard operating procedures and good clinical practices and drug supply is maintained. - Work directly with the company's Data Quality Leader and Clinical Investigation Leader to coordinate data collection, set up and lead regular cross functional study team meetings, including functions such as clinical statistics and project management. In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:. - Degree in life sciences or equivalent work experience. - Demonstrated hands-on experience in clinical trial conduct, operations and study management; demonstrated ability to deliver clinical trials on budget and against timelines. - Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management. This role requires strategic thinking, solution-finding, and agility as evidenced by flexibility, adaptability to change, curiosity, and ability to lead and drive change. - Possesses sound operational knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and broader R&D processes including scientific activity impacting project work.
