The Electrical Team within Places for People’s Property Maintenance Division are pleased to announce that following a successful first year as an independent function we have secured additional work and as such are looking to further strengthen and grow our winning team. What your role will be We have secured an Electrical Inspection and Testing contract which will we will see us working in over 50,000 homes during the next 5 years, ensuring Electrical Safety for our customers. As an Electrician working within this programme you will be required to undertake Electrical Inspection and Testing to both domestic and communal areas within your geographical area. Your main duties will include fixed wire testing of properties, 1st and 2nd fix installation work, consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs as required, emergency lighting and fault finding. Working in partnership with the wider team, you will be responsible for ensuring all works are carried out in a timely manner in accordance with BS7671 Am3 and within the Groups Policies and Procedures with regards to Health & Safety and Electrical Safety. You will also form part of the out of hour’s on-call rota (currently 1 week in 5) and for this you will receive an additional fixed payment and an additional enhanced hourly pay for the duration of the call-out. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5:00pm. Your background This is technical role and therefore your CV/application will need to demonstrate that you possess the below qualifications in order for us to progress your application further.
