Renfrewshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership is committed to providing the highest quality Care at Home service by supporting the needs of vulnerable members of the community. And by joining us as a Care at Home worker you will receive guaranteed hours, excellent terms and conditions and comprehensive training and development. Our innovative Care at Home service is designed to help people live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as they can. To allow this, the duties of Care at Home workers will involve assisting service users with all aspects of personal care, including help with washing, dressing, toileting, medication. Successful applicants will also help with preparing meals and assist service users by aiding the development of their daily living skills. We have opened a number of permanent and temporary posts in various locations across Renfrewshire as part of the drive to expand the Council’s Care at Home service. Renfrewshire Care at Home service offer guaranteed flexible working arrangements with either 25 hour or 35 hour contracts. 35 Hour contracts operate over a split shift working 7 out of 14 days, while the 25 hour posts are based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. The service operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with core working hours between 7.00am and 10.00pm. You will require to undertake relevant training for the post and all temporary or permanent Home Care Workers will be trained to SVQ Level 2 standard in Social Care. It is essential that applicants have experience of working in a care setting and delivering personal care. You will also have an awareness of a range of long term conditions and an understanding of the needs of people who require help from care services. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
