    • Income Services Team Manager Full Time 36.25 hours per week Based in Rugby Fixed Term Contract until 31 October 2018 Salary: £28,798 - £31,998 per annum As one of the country’s largest housing associations, and celebrating its 50th year, Orbit owns and manages nearly 40,000 homes and is committed to it’s purpose of building communities. We are looking to recruit an Income Services Team Manager to deliver an effective specialised income collection service, which maximises income collection whilst striving to achieve and maintain top quartile performance for a fixed term of 12 months. The successful applicant will:- Deliver an effective, customer driven income collection service. Maximising all income to the association and minimising losses to the business. Be responsible for all aspects of staff and performance management. Represent the association in court, litigation, tribunal or other proceedings. Establish and build effective relationships with key stakeholders, supporting wider initiatives such as the homelessness prevention, welfare reform and digital and financial inclusion agendas. Develop and review policy, procedures, practices and system enhancements as directed by the Income Services Manager. Keep abreast of best practice, statutory and regulatory requirements ensuring implementation of continuous improvement services to residents, maintaining a working knowledge of wider housing management issues. Interpret detailed analysis of arrears, to target resources appropriately and produce qualitative, concise reports, business cases and presentations. Take a lead role for specific organisation-wide initiatives, projects and business responsibilities as required and formulate robust budget proposals. Skills required are:- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Good IT skills including word processing and ability to use spreadsheets. Experience of resource planning. Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills, including previous experience of business letter writing. Ability to write clear and concise reports. Ability to analyse and interpret complex information. A flexible approach to working hours. Experience of delivering effective working relationships within a varied customer and partner group. Experience of preparing and managing budgets and monitoring financial performance. Working knowledge of housing management, benefit regulations and regulatory requirements. Experience of staff management. Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role. Willing and able to work shifts between the hours of 8am and 8pm and be willing and able to participate in the out of hours emergency roster.
