    • Oracle Financials - Functional Lead EMEA Location: Dundee Salary: Salary: up to £75,000.00 per annum - negotiable REPORTING TO:Finance Applications Lead - Oracle CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business (or related field of study) - 5 years of professional services experience with Oracle Financials modules and preferably on automation and/or integration projects - Accounts Payable process improvement and OCR implementation experience - Ability to Engage with local management / stake holders and understand expectations and business requirements - Capture business requirements and translate them into system requirements documents, use case documents, process flow and UML diagrams - Ability to work under tight deadlines and complex IT environments with multiple integration points - Successful track record of transforming back-office processes through digitization & automation in major change programs. Outcomes should include uplift in customer service and step change in operational efficiency. - Is optimistic with a "can-do attitude." - Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. - Strong written and oral communication skills - Team player is a must - Experience with implementing and operationalizing of Lexmark software is a plus POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance Applications Specialist will act as the Local IT subject matter expert pertaining to Oracle Financials setup/best practices, process/applications improvements as well as any other 3rd party applications (such as OCR technology) and provide ongoing system support and maintenance to the local DBS Finance team. This resource will report to US base IT lead, with a dotted line relationship to the Local Operations Manager, Shared Services. The Specialist would be active participant of IT team that would focus on technology global projects to drive improved automation within the client shared service centers. On the Oracle side, the group will work to design and develop enhancements to the Oracle Financial Platform, in areas that will improve automation including interfaces to/from key external systems. For the OCR portion of the role, the group will focus on the implementation and execution of the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software Lexmark to automate key portions of Accounts Payable Process within their finance shared services business. The Specialist will take part on assigned tasks for the global projects, ranging from research, requirement definitions to project execution, testing and local user community roll-outs. The resource would also take a lead on any local IT Finance projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role will work closely with the Services IT and Shared Services organisation, especially the finance leadership team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Take part on Financials systems/solutions from requirement gathering to delivery. - Participate in planning and execution of enhancement projects to improve financial processing on Oracle platform including but not limited to improving integration of data to and from Oracle. - Represent local Operations interest and issues/concerns through project life cycle (design, solution phase to local testing, training to post go live support) - Work with US base lead to partner effectively with IT organizations for each of their 4 segments, with regard to making improvements in each of their respective Oracle platforms. - Take a lead on the local roll out of Lexmark Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to automate key portions of Dover Accounts Payable process. - IT Liaison for local Operations and management. - Act as the local subject matter expert for Oracle and Lexmark OCR technology; stay up to date with technology changes and application techniques - Provide Applications support for their owned products and solutions, working with external vendors
