    • The Behavioural and Developmental Psychiatry Clinical Academic Group B&DP CAG is one of seven CAGs that make up the structure of the Trust. Clinical Academic Groups bring together clinical services and academic activities within a series of single managerial units, aligning and integrating mental health service delivery with teaching and research. The Behavioural and Developmental Psychiatry CAG provides inpatient, outpatient, prison in-reach and community services for adults who have committed offences or have developmental disorders or learning disabilities. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior Practitioner Clinical / Forensic /Counselling psychologist for the London Pathways Partnership LPP. We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic psychologist to work as part of an innovative team that is a joint partnership between The NHS and Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service on the Offender Personality Disorder Pathways. The role includes working with probation officers and approved premises in order to help the staff improve their knowledge, skills and attitudes to working with offenders identified as having a personality disorder. This includes providing group and individual consultations with staff, developing formulations to guide risk management plans, considering better ways to work with the individual, thinking about suitable custodial and community pathway options for the individual to help them through their sentence, and to provide training to staff. The role will also include working within the community Forensic Intensive Psychological Treatment Service FIPTS providing individual assessment and treatment to offenders in the community with a personality disorder. There are opportunities for the successful candidate to also get involved with group work, this includes MBT, DBT and Challenge a group for high risk sexual offenders with personality disorder. This post holder will spend one day a week based in FIPTS and the remaining time within the LPP working into probation offices or Approved premises within the LPP catchment areas of the London boroughs of Lambeth, Wandsworth, Kingston, Hounslow, Sutton, Merton or Croydon. This is an excellent time to join and be a part of a forward thinking developing and dynamic service. The post holder will be responsible for providing expertise in highly specialist clinical assessment, treatment and research which will contribute to clinical and research requirements and developments within the service. The role will also include supervision of more junior staff and contribution to the clinical multi-disciplinary team. The FIPTS Team is based at Landor House, Lambeth Hospital; however, you will be required to travel as well as demonstrate flexibility in the working day and hours to support the continual development of the service model.
