Job Description The Senior Receptionist will provide a reception and administrative services to support the department in delivering a high-quality service to patients and clients. Hours: 37.5 hours/week (07:45am-16:15pm or 09:30am-18:00pm) Salary: £22,000 Duties & Responsibilities Meet and greet patients, visitors, GP's and staff and deal with their enquiries To be responsible for the daily supervision of the reception for the clinic To be involved with the recruitment and training of new Reception Staff Liaise with other Senior Receptionists and share learning and best practice to deliver excellent service Dealing with all queries and referring where appropriate Oversee all aspects of the patient journey Liaising with the Pharmacy Team for all medication and prescription queries Monitor stationery stock levels Maintain reception equipment and report any faults, including any building maintenance issues where appropriate Assist in patient chaperone service as necessary on request Logging laboratory samples for collection Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols Provision of refreshments for visitors as required and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy during working hours Skills and Experience Previous receptionist experience is essential, ideally within a Healthcare setting Previous experience within a Senior Reception or Team Lead role Excellent communication skills About the Individual You will be reliable and flexible with a can-do attitude. You will be focused in providing an excellent service to customers with exceptional spoken and written communication skills.
