Could you see yourself supporting a young man with complex learning disabilities? No experience needed. You'll be working with a man in his 20s who lives in his own specially adapted home in Wigan, near his family. He has very complex needs, autism and behaviours that are challenging. He requires emotional reassurance and support. This work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly fulfilling. Perhaps you have an interest in psychology or want to specialise in autistic spectrum conditions. Either would be a good fit for this job. You'll need to be patient and resilient, with loads of common sense. We'll provide you with full training and day-to-day help and advice from your Head of Service. Because of the young man's complex needs, all staff complete Positive Behaviour Management training. You'll work shifts which include days, evenings, nights and weekends. For people interested in night shift work only, we may be able to accommodate this. It would be helpful if you hold a manual driving licence, but not essential. Who are we?
