We have vacancies for full-time and part-time Support Workers in Oswestry, Shropshire. Full time positions are 38 hours per week. For part time positions, please advise us of your availability and we will see if we can accommodate this. About the role MacIntyre supports a lady in her early 40s and you will play a key part in assisting her to live as independently as possible. You will join in with her favourite pastimes and hobbies, helping her be an active member of her local community. Activities might include football, listening to music, going to the cinema and theatre, shopping or out for meals. All support is 2:1, so there will be no lone working. Sometimes personal care or medication may be required and when anxious she may display behaviours of concern. The work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable. We will provide you with full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your Head of Service. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. What we need from you Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn. We need people who are resilient, fun, active, love football and are very patient. It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, as you will be required to drive service vehicles. Who are we?
