We are looking for a Toxicologist to join this busy team To maintain and further develop knowledge of regulatory safety assessment in order to provide expert advice within and outside the company on the design of safety assessment programmes and the performance and results interpretation of toxicology studies. To promote the reputation of the company for scientific excellence and act as a source of strategic toxicological advice. As a Toxicologist at Envigo your main responsibilities will be: Maintaining and developing further scientific expertise in regulatory safety assessment.Contributing expertise to promote the future development of Toxicology at EnvigoTaking part in external committees, publishing in peer-reviewed literature and providing high quality scientific contributions to company marketing initiatives as appropriateWorking with Sales and programme Management, provide high quality, current, scientific advice to progress enquiries prior to the allocation of a Study Director.Advising on best scientific practice in the design, conduct and reporting of toxicology studies, with particular reference to current safety assessment guidelines, ASPA and the 3Rs.Acting as a point of contact for allocated customers, ensuring a consistency of service.Acting as Project Licence Holder as requested.Coaching and training Study Managers and trainees in scientific aspects of regulatory toxicology.Timely contribution to starting studies and production of high quality reports to maintain the developed schedulesProviding consultancy services on a costed basis as required.Contribution to the provision of weekend/public holiday scientific advice reflecting the 7 day per week nature of the work. The skills and experience we're looking for are: A degree or equivalent in a relevant biological subjectA higher degree or similar relevant recognised qualification (eg IDT)Significant practical experience as a Study Director working to GLP standardsProven regulatory toxicology experienceA good working knowledge of all aspects of drug and/or agro/chemical safety assessment If you are professional, forward thinking, enthusiastic and highly motivated, then we want you to join us and help us achieve our mission - to be the best company to work with and the best company to work for.
